* * *

Born in the cool sand under the Boardwalk in Coney Island, Jessica - in her basinet - was gently placed on a West-bound freight train, which she took all the way to Portland, Oregon...

After growing up singing folk songs, and a few old English and Celtic ballads, she discovered classic country music as it was preserved on the jukebox at the End of the Trail Saloon.

Tracing back her musical roots whither they would lead, Jessica moved to Nashville, Tennessee - not too far from the Appalachian mountains and even closer to the Grand Ole Opry and Ernest Tubb Record Shop. Currently Ms. Stiles lives in the Washington DC area and shares her love of bluegrass with listeners of WAMU's Bluegrass Country on Saturdays.
