Tami Neilson - Chickaboom

Hey Tam Fam! Happy New Year and I hope you had a great holiday time with loved ones. Here in New Zealand, summer/school holidays are in full swing with my two little guys and a new puppy from Santa (his name is Harry...yes, Harry Neilson. *insert “The Puppy Song” here*), as well as my Mama, who’s been visiting from Canada to escape a few winter weeks! I’ve fully embraced these lazy days of summer, but, it’s time to fire up the old music machine and hit the road again. Today, Billboard premiered my brand new single, “You Were Mine”! (Many of you have been asking for this song over the past two years whenever I close my shows with it and now, the time has finally come! You can listen to it on all streaming services HERE.) My amazing publicist pitched the music video to Billboard months ago, and they agreed to premiere it, but, as you'll read in the article below, I didn't feel right about releasing it at this time due to it's sensitive content. I thought this meant losing the opportunity with Billboard, but, they completely understood my reasons and still offered to premiere the single, which was incredibly kind of them.  I also wanted to explain to anyone who sees or listens to the single on any of the streaming services, that it was too late for me to change the artwork (which is a still shot from the aforementioned music video) on my digital platforms and not meant to be insensitive to my dear friends in Australia. I hope to release the video sometime in future, so you can see the incredible work produced and directed by my brother Todd Neilson of Valiant Creative Agency, that I am so proud of, but, holding it back at this time felt like the right thing.  I wanted to say a HUGE thanks to those of you who have pre-ordered “CHICKABOOM!” The limited edition buttercream vinyl just landed in New Zealand today, all ready to ship out to you in just a couple weeks on Valentines Day ♥️ Thank you so much for choosing to be part of my community and I look forward to bringing you more new music in 2020!  Love, Tami x Copyright © 2020 *Neilson Records, All rights reserved.
